






We live in an era of The Brand— a time in which curated projections of ourselves are packaged to promote cultural inclusiveness, or shared affinities. But these projections tend to be tuned inward: we tend to seek mirrors not windows. It got me thinking of a time when we all gleaned our shared insights from books, namely fiction. The ideas within "those pages" used to form the primary connective tissue of insight and feeling that united us and shifted cultural tides. I started asking colleagues and friends if they were to write a book that defined them or their current worldview, what would their book title be? A few of these covers are for physical books published by friends and/or colleagues. Others are simply a combination of their imagined title with what I know of them, paired with my photographs. Think of it as books as brands. Whether or not we all have a book in us. At least now, some of us have covers for those (as yet) unwritten books...
